Connect HubSpot and push contacts
Link HubSpot once, then send prospects in as contacts — matched on email so existing records get updated.

HubSpot connects through your HubSpot login — there's no API key to hunt down. Once it's linked you can send candidates from any prospect list into HubSpot as contacts. HubSpot is a CRM, so there are no jobs or postings to pick: everyone lands in your contact database.
Connect HubSpot
Go to Settings → Connections, click Add Connection, and choose HubSpot. Instead of a credential form you'll see a single Connect with HubSpot button. Click it, sign in to HubSpot if you're prompted, and approve access — the window closes and the connection saves on its own.
HubSpot uses OAuth, which is the same mechanism behind "Sign in with Google." Instead of you pasting a secret key into Pickle, you sign in on HubSpot's own page and HubSpot tells Pickle it's allowed in. Three things follow from that:
- Pickle never sees or stores your HubSpot password, and there's no key to rotate later.
- Access is scoped — Pickle can create and update contacts, not change everything in your HubSpot account.
- You stay in control. You can revoke Pickle's access from inside HubSpot at any time, and removing the connection in Pickle stops it from the other side.
Two things worth knowing before you click:
- Only Owners and Admins can add a connection. Recruiters can use one that's already set up.
- The HubSpot user who approves the connection needs permission to create and edit contacts — typically a Super Admin. Pickle also creates a Pickle Person ID property on your contacts the first time you connect, which HubSpot treats as a settings change.
HubSpot then appears on the Connections page with the date it was linked, ready to use from any list. Your org keeps one connection at a time (HubSpot or an ATS, not both), so remove the existing one before adding another.

Push candidates to HubSpot
Open a prospect list and check the candidates you want. Click Actions in the toolbar, hover Export, and choose Hubspot talent pool — that's the general pool, and the only HubSpot destination. A toast confirms the result — Exported 12 of 12 to Hubspot — and names the reason for anyone who didn't make it.
Pickle doesn't create HubSpot lists, deals, or companies. It upserts contacts. If a contact with that email already exists, Pickle updates it rather than creating a duplicate.

What lands in HubSpot
Each sent candidate becomes a HubSpot contact with their name, phone, LinkedIn URL, and address, plus a Pickle Person ID so you can tell which Pickle record they came from. Country is set to US.
Email is the match key, not a field Pickle overwrites — so matching a contact on a secondary email won't change their primary one. Candidates need at least one contact channel — email, phone, or a social profile — or they're skipped. Where there's no email, Pickle sends a placeholder address (pkl+…@test.withpickle.com) so HubSpot still has something to match on. Swap it for the real address once you have it.
Troubleshooting
The Export menu only shows "Hubspot talent pool" — where are the jobs?
That's expected. HubSpot is a CRM, not an ATS, so there are no postings to pick. Hubspot talent pool sends every selected candidate into your HubSpot contacts.
Some of my candidates were skipped.
Those candidates have no contact info on file yet. Run Find contact info on them, then export again.
Connect failed after I approved access in HubSpot.
The HubSpot user who approved the connection may not be allowed to create contact properties. Reconnect as a Super Admin, or ask one to create a Pickle Person ID contact property and try again.
Pickle says a connection already exists.
Each org has one connection. Delete the current one under Settings → Connections with the trash icon, then add HubSpot.
